Welcome to Loyola Girls' Club!
What is Girls' Club?
Girls’ Club is all about empowering young women and building their self-confidence. High school girls learn to lead responsibly and to inspire elementary age girls. In turn, those elementary age girls learn and practice skills while having fun in a safe environment and without any competition from their male peers. We celebrate being girls, our diversity and special qualities that can unite us, nurturing our compassion and empathy for others as well as our strong mental talents. We take a variety of suggestions from the elementary parents and teachers as topics and meet once per month after school hours with the elementary girls. The high school girls meet at least once per week over lunch hour to brainstorm, learn, create, plan, etc. The advisor sets the times and places, records the member information, controls funds collected and spent, advises high school girls as to how to teach in a caring and encouraging manner, empowering high school girls to be the best possible mentors that they can be. The advisor is always available for both the high school and the elementary girls to listen and to give advice, to help problem solve, and to supervise all activities.
